What's the best shampoo/conditioner for color-treated hair?

- Asked by Female, 56-65

I love Pantene! I've been using it for years on my blonde highlights and have never had a problem. I can actually wait about an extra month before going to get highlights again. <3

try the Dumb Blonde shampoo and conditioner by Tigi. Please don't try pantene, It's like floor polish in a shampoo bottle!! (Or as my hairdresser calls it... lol)

Try Pureology Sulfate Free products made specifically for color treated hair. They are a bit spendy, but are fantastic. I buy mine at my local Ulta store, but you can check out their website, www.pureology.com.

I have used everything from drug store shampoo/conditioners to the very expensive salon brands. The one I think is best, and have been using for a while now, is EverPure from Loreal-Paris line. It's sulfate free (which seems to be the new rage) and best of all my color doesn't fade.

I'd recommend Dove Advanced Care Color Repair Therapy Shampoo and conditioner.

Matrix conditioning balm works amazingly. I had done a lot of damage to my hair from bleaching it and this product has brought my hair back to the way it was before all the processing. It is somewhat expensive, but totally worth it.

My hairdresser told me very bad things about Pantene. She said if you can't afford to buy from the salon, (I think the best would be Graham Webb) then use Infusium 23 products for color treated hair. I particularly like the leave-in conditioner.

Ouidad Playcurl! Leaves hair soft but not frizzy!

My favorite shampoo fpr color treated hair is pureology Hydrate. It REALLY does what it says. If your looking for a cheaper option, the ohn Freida lines in the "colors" work really well..like blonde, brown
