I need to drop 5 pounds in the next 3 weeks. What can i do?
- Asked by Female, 36-45
drink water, exercise, and watch your calories! LOL! It's true, but I lost 8 pounds over the summer by cutting out alcohol, sticking to a low-sodium diet, and walking every day. It actually was pretty easy.

cut the junk and start walking... the longer the better
- Response by Female, 36-45, New York
Cut out breads, soda, potatoes and any fried foods. Try grilled foods with lots of veggies.

I am a certified personal trainer and I also market for a company called Nutrilite, one of the world's top vitamin and supplement brands. My advice, to begin, would be to stay as active as you can, work on building muscle (the weight room is not just for men), eat a balanced diet, and a whole lot more. I can also suggest a few products from Nutrilite like Slimmetry that will help you lose that weight faster.

Stop eating anything that has SUGAR in it. read carefully everything that's not fruit or vegetable, to find what are they hiding. Start walking, at least 4 times a week, for 30 minutes, and VOILA!

The ten day diet is a great way to fool your body into losing weight. Eat every 2 hours, the combinations of things you should eat are listed and you stay metabolised and full. Just remember not to "go off of it" for more than 2 days, unless you get to a point where you want to start maintenance. You will GAIN fast.

Weight Watchers. I just re joined and the new plan is easy. Fruit and Veggies are no points...so keeping to 29 or so is really manageable. I lost 7 lbs in 3 weeks. I did the online version. Well worth the money and it really teaches you the proper way to eat.

Try to cut out 500 calories per day. This is a good starting place. But watching your diet is key!!! Cut out the sodium- this will reduce water retention which could really help alot in such a short period of time. Also- make sure the calories you are getting are doing something for you. Make sure your eating whole grains instead of white bread/rice, etc. Fiber will help keep you feeling full! Exercise is always key to weight loss. To lose weight you must reduce calorie intake and increase calories burned. (move more, eat less) Go to the USDA website and you can find alot of information on diet and exercise. You can plug all of your meals into a calculator and it will tell you exactly how many calories you are getting and expending with the exercise you are doing throughout the day, as well as what you need to be eating more of or less of. Keep in mind tho, that they will give you like a 2000 calorie per day diet. Typically women will not want to be consuming that many calories (it is more a baseline for men). For weight loss, try to cut out 500 calories per day. So maybe try to shoot for 1500 calories per day. Tho cutting the sodium will really help lose water weight:) Good Luck!

17 Day Diet! I lost 8 pounds and 10 days and still losing :-)
- Response by trisha7613, Female, 36-45
I really just want to emphasize that. The 17 Day Diet really works and it's easy to follow, tons of unlimited eating foods so I'm never hungry. Only 17 minutes cardio a day. In 17 days you should expect to lose over 10 pounds!

The obvious answer is watching what you eat , plenty of excercise, and drinking plently of water, but I lost 5 pounds in one week without really changing what I eat. I also needed to lose weight, and I did some research and tried the "Water & Vinegar Diet". I lost 5 pounds in one week. All you have to do is drink a mix of 4 tbs of Apple Cider Vinegar with an 8oz glass of warm water with every meal!
