What's the best way to cover up dark circles?
- Asked by Female, 36-45
Find a concealer that's just for under your eyes. Definitely don't use the same shade you use to cover up zits and redness! Find a shade a little darker than you think you need. You want it to be light enough for your skin tone but corrective enough for the level of purple under the eye.

Concealer! I apply mine with a brush, because I think it does a better job blending and concealing than if I were just using my fingers.

Okay, I know that people are always saying you can cover them up, matching colors of base, using light reflecting shadows... etc... Hylexin works.. Just an FYI

I have dark circles under my eyes that have NOTHING to do with the amount of sleep I get. My grandmother had them and most of her kids had them too. I use a concealer by Sally Hansen in the Natural Beaty line (all the packaging is green in color). It's called All-Over Brightener and it's almost a lavendar pink color. It was difficult to find but I finally found it at CVS. Hope that helps!

Actually if this is due to low iron you could visit the doctor and see if this is what is causing to have circles aaround you eye. If this is the problem the he will probably give you an iron tablet or vitamin.
Hope this helps in any way. Bye

Avoid alcohol and caffeine which can cause mild dehydration and make dark circles more obvious. Drinking plenty of healthy liquids, especially water, helps keep overall skin tone firm and full looking.
You may be suffering from allergies. Try over the counter allergy medications such as Claritin or other antihistamine.
If the dark circles under your eyes are due to a a physical, genetic trait or too much melanin try creams containing lightening agents such as hydroquinone, kojic acid, green tea, vitamin C, or soy.
Here's the BIG ANSWER: Use a moisturizing eye cream that contains 5% Vitamin K to successfully strengthen the capillary walls and reduce the visibility of blood vessels through the thin skin under your eye. Apply the vit K cream every night and a retinol cream every other night. (There is an added benefit of reducing wrinkles in the eye area). Give it about a month and this combo will work wonders!

Treatment of undereye circles vary according to their cause. See a doctor to determine cause and treatment. To cover them use concealer and foundation. Use a concealer 2-3 shades lighter than your skin tone then follow with foundation. Use brushes and blend well.
Visit the beauty counters at the mall...often a makeup artist will give you a free demo...try MAC.

I find concealer too heavy. I use a lighter liquid coverup intended for your foundation and then add an under eye brightner, it has a little bit of shimmer so it reflects light, but not so much that it looks like you're wearing glitter. I have one called Ooh la lift by Benefit. One of the ladies at Sephora directed me to it; it's what they used on the show What not To Wear.

I put on my foundation first all over my face to even out skin tone then I use a small amount of Physcians Formula Rx concealer on my under eyes and any blemishes I want to cover up, works great!

I just purchased and received ybf neutralizing creme. It is a sof lemony yellow and works amazingly. The yellow actually "neutralizes" the under eye darkness, while brightening the appearance as well. I would highly recommend it!

Use a concealer palette. First cleanse, moisturize, and prime. Make sure to apply everything with your ring finger! Then use a yellow color to neutralize the bluish under tones. Then set it with a translucent powder. Then put a regular concealer color in your skin tone on it and powder again and waalaa all gone:)
